The first of many topographic prints, this was a small study done of Mt. Tamalpais and the surrounding Marin Hills. Sitting alone at sunset, watching the fog set in over these rolling hills, and listening to the horns blow from passing ships—it's a wonder that something this remote can exist only 13 miles from San Francisco.
